I’m Ash. Forever expanding how I show up in the world. I’m a queer, nomadic, photographer-writer-content producer, reconnecting with and coming into remembrance of the parts of myself lost or forgotten on my journey.
Southern born although NY claims a sizable piece of me. My mother immigrated to the US from Suriname, South America and my father is from Charleston, SC. As I am in this
space of reconnection, I’m also doing a lot of shedding and deconstruction. Constantly peeling back the fingers of the tight grip of my upbringing in religion and academia, while also deciding what’s worth keeping. Its been a beautiful time of getting to learn more of my family history and lineage.
I was introduced to Cosmic Healing (CH) through a disability justice collective about a year ago, and I have to say that so much has opened up for me since then. I’m enjoying the evolution of how I engage with community. Doing my best to trust and allow myself to be vulnerable in the communities that hold space for who I am in fullness with all fifty ‘leven of the identities I embody.
I’m a collaborator to my core, and the offerings I bring to the CH community are rooted in the spirit of genuine connects and collabs. I offer portrait photography services that capture your true essence; house sitting to provide home and pet care and nourishment while you’re traveling; herbal medicine knowledge exchange (books, tips, medicines, etc.)
I’d love to connect with more healing practitioners, specifically in herbalism, massage therapy, mental health, and nutrition, as those are the areas I am studying/interested in. It would be dope to link with more nomadic artists as well so please do hit me up!
