The following page is from The Solstice: June 2024! With Caring for the Fat Body happening this Cancer season, here’s a note from the last Fat Lib group program

Such an amazing group people came together to investigate their beliefs + attitudes towards fatness and then to integrate Fat Lib al through the lens and themes of Jupiter, and it made transited through the final degrees of Taurus.

Some things we learned as a group:

• puritanical yt supremacy demonized the rest, luxury, and sensuality that was exhibited throughout Africa
• indulgence is convening with the Earth, partaking in her abundance without exploitation
• audacious yt ideas about fatness became fact with just simple personal reasoning
• bodies were/are seen as the first + primary signal towards a person’s morality + access to control
• thinness doesn’t necessarily bring joy, just leads to external validation
• body diversity is seen in all living things
• getting in touch with Fat Liberation makes it easier to connect to Disability Justice, and seeing how all liberation is interlocked
