DENPA DOLLHOUSE is a Binghamton-born collective fusing gospel-funk, alternative R&B and surreal electronics into a freeform transmission for and by the underground. Taking cues from “denpa” — both Japanese for “radio wave” and a genre of speculative fiction in the same vein — they explore the alien, subaltern and off-kilter as channels for the restlessness of the disenfranchised. In an age of ever increasing social and infrastructural fracture, they aim to be a prevailing groove against the neoliberal funk.

Their debut EP, ALICE & THE DENPA DOLLHOUSE, was recently released in December 2025 on all major streaming platforms, as well as another sonic activation called i95 made in collaboration between them and oluwafunke wanda. If you are interested in booking DENPA for an event/show, collaborating with them artistically, or are just looking to support, you can reach out to them via either email or Instagram.

ALICE & THE DENPA DOLLHOUSE, by DENPA DOLLHOUSE

Meet oluwafunke wanda (a.k.a. Dahlia Bekong)!

She is a queer neurodivergent Cameroonian-american author, performer and antidisciplinary worldmaker, as well as the composer, keyboardist, producer and lead vocalist behind DENPA DOLLHOUSE. Bronx-born and Binghamton-based, wanda’s creative practice flutters between audio production, live performance, poetry and creative non-fiction. Her interpolation across multiple mediums, time periods & spatial (dis)connections weds personal truth-telling with elusive histories of resistance.

wanda is currently accepting offers on audio- and text-based collaborations for others' creative/spiritual/interdisciplinary work. If you are interested, please reach out to her via email.
